Frequently Asked Questions will be found here soon.
Q: I can’t find my photo even though I rode past you and I really want to order a print
A: Not all photos end up on the website for various reasons. If you send me the date and approximate time you rode past and a description of your bike/helmet/clothing I’ll see if I have anything. If the photo isn’t here though there is a chance I either did not get a shot of you (other traffic in the way, shooting bikes coming from the other direction etc) or the photo is not of a quality I consider suitable (composition, lighting etc). Next time you see me stop and have a chat and I can show you the photos to make sure you’re amongst them.
Q: I didn’t give you permission to photograph me, please remove the photo from your website and delete it.
A: While I don’t actually need your permission I’m not here to make enemies. If you think you can easily be identified in the picture (unlikely in most shots - helmet, bulky motorcycle clothing) and there is a reason why you don’t want your photo published then please contact me. If you’d like to know more about your rights as to being photographed and what is legal for photographers to do then please see this link. I usually keep a copy of this document on me whenever I shoot in public.
Q: Will you come on a ride and photograph us at <insert favourite ride>?
A: Sure, I’d love to. Contact Me to arrange the date and times and we can negotiate the terms. As it will most likely take me away from shooting other riders this would normally be in the form of agreeing to purchase x number of prints.
Q: What about a track day?
A: Possibly. Race tracks aren’t public land so I would need permission form the organisers who often have contracts with other photographers.
Q: What do you ride?
A: 2002 CBR 600 F4i.
Q: If I go really, really fast past you will I look like Casey Stoner in the photo?
A: Please ride within your limits. In order to take photos of you that convey speed I am often required to be in a position that would see you or your bike cause major discomfort to myself should you throw it down the road. Enjoy yourself and make sure you’re able to ride home. Be sure to know that if you do crash in front of me I will post the photos on the internet!!
Q: Do you do any non-motorcycle related photography? Will you shoot my function, wedding, portraits, model portfolio?
A: Generally I don’t. I don’t own a lot of the necessary equipment to do this kind of work, in particular lighting, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. If your willing to take a bit of a risk (ie. not your wedding) and it sounds interesting to me then I might be able to offer a low budget solution. It doesn’t hurt to ask and if I can’t take the shoot myself then I might be able to recommend someone else.
